It’s a case of the butcher, the baker, and the candlestick maker all pulling out the stops this week as their local village hosts one of the biggest amateur drama festivals in the country.

From cooking four-course meals for drama groups to working as ushers, locals in the West Cork village of Rossmore and the surrounding parish all volunteer to help run the annual West Cork Drama Festival.

The event, which is expected to attract more than 2,000 spectators, begins on Friday and continues until Mar 14.
