Irish Muslim ‘threatened to shoot US lawyer’

An Irish Muslim threatened to put a bullet in the head of an American lawyer who organised a rally against Islamic terrorism in the US, a court has heard.

Ali Charaf Damache, who is originally from Algeria and who holds an Irish passport, warned fellow Muslim Majed Moughni that he and others would get him, “even in America”, Waterford Circuit Criminal Court was told yesterday.

Mr Damache, aged 45, is charged with threatening to kill Mr Moughni, a Michigan attorney, on or about Jan 9, 2010.
