€800k insurance deal breaks down

A €800,000 settlement of a court action by a mother-of-two against insurance giant Axa over water damage to her South Dublin home broke down at the last minute yesterday.

A High Court judge branded the disruption as “nonsense”. The case will now go before the Commercial Court next week.

The expected €800,000 settlement over damage to Ann Marie Glennon Cully’s home in Sandymount failed over what her lawyers called “minimal differences”.
