A Chinese man whose €100,000 dog died while having a facelift is suing the animal clinic tasked with making the animal more beautiful to other breeders.

The Tibetan mastiff, the world’s most expensive breed and a status symbol in China, died 20 minutes into the €160 plastic surgery procedure.

The owner, identified as Mr Yu, paid the money to the Beijing animal hospital in November but his beloved dog suffered a heart attack during surgery.
