Noonan: No fire sale of Anglo’s assets

Finance Minister Michael Noonan has ruled out any “fire” sale of Anglo’s assets while defending the Government’s decision not to seek a writedown of debt attached to the bust bank.

Mr Noonan attacked Sinn Féin and the opposition party’s criticism of last week’s promissory note deal.

His comments came as the Dáil began a three-day debate on the deal agreed with the ECB last week.
