Gardaí to question McGeever over 8-month disappearance

A wealthy businessman found wandering a lonely border road in a barefoot and dishevelled condition last Tuesday is to face formal questioning by gardaí later this week about his mysterious disappearance.

The background to the reappearance of Co Galway property developer, Kevin Michael McGeever, 68, after allegedly being held captive and tortured for eight months in a shipping container remains shrouded in mystery.

Mr McGeever is currently being treated in the Midlands Hospital in Mullingar, Co Westmeath, for a fractured knee cap as well as malnutrition and dehydration.
