Hunt on in south for lucky Lottowinner
Only one winning ticket was sold and all that National Lottery headquarters could confirm was that it was sold in the south of the country.
The numbers drawn were 3, 8, 11, 23, 27, and 33, and the bonus ball was 36.
News that the ticket was sold in the south came as the country’s wealthiest postman, who scooped a €7m fortune on the lotto nearly two years ago, admitted he wouldn’t mind winning a second jackpot.
Millionaire mailman Pat Broderick said he has been splashing out on tickets every week since his win.
And the father of four, from Kinsale, Co Cork, said he’s confident his lucky numbers — which are based on his children’s ages — will come up again.
When asked if he thinks he could win again, he said: “Absolutely. I’m confident that I will. I’ve as good a chance as anybody.”
