Bill Gates to meet Bono

The richest man in the world is in Dublin today to meet with Tanaiste Eamonn Gilmore, President Michael D Higgins and Bono.

Microsoft founder Bill Gates, currently worth $66bn (€50bn), is here to discuss the work of his charity, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which is a key partner with Ireland in combating hunger and global poverty.

After an early morning meeting with Mr Gilmore at the Department of Foreign Affairs, he will be received mid-morning at Áras an Uactharáin by President Michael D Higgins.
