Gogarty stages remarkable return as chart star

Formerly famous as the foul-mouthed Green who thought he might be 25% gay, ex-TD Paul Gogarty has staged a remarkable return to national attention as an unlikely chart star.

Posing under the name “His Sweet Surprise”, Gogarty’s single Know You All My Life has hit the top five on an Irish download chart — besting the efforts of David Bowie.

Gogarty last dominated the airwaves in 2009 when the then-Green education spokesman turned the Dáil air blue with a potty-mouthed rant against Labour deputy Emmet Stagg as he roared across the chamber: “Fuck you, Deputy Stagg! Fuck you!”
