Britain’s longest-running children’s magazine The Dandy will print its last edition tomorrow.

The comic, which sold 2m copies at its peak, has seen falling sales in recent times. Circulation now stands at just 8,000 copies per edition.

Publisher DC Thomson had tried to overcome the challenges posed by the digital revolution but a series of relaunches in recent years failed to halt the slide.
