Walsh calls on public to boycott Irish Sun
Speaking on RTÉ’s The Craig Doyle Show last night, a visibly emotional and angry Louis Walsh said he could have lost his job, his name and his life over the story. The pop impresario made a €500,000 settlement with the newspaper earlier this week.
“You think ‘I’m going to be ruined, how am I going to walk down the street, what are people going to say about me’. And the fucking Irish Sun did it and I will never forgive them, no matter how much money I get off them.
“I think that people should boycott the paper like they do in Liverpool,” he said.
Mr Walsh said tabloids “rule by fear” and the Irish Sun wanted to “destroy” him.
