Pop mogul Louis Walsh called on people to boycott the Irish Sun, after it published a false story saying that he sexually assaulted a man in a Dublin nightclub.

Speaking on RTÉ’s The Craig Doyle Show last night, a visibly emotional and angry Louis Walsh said he could have lost his job, his name and his life over the story. The pop impresario made a €500,000 settlement with the newspaper earlier this week.

“You think ‘I’m going to be ruined, how am I going to walk down the street, what are people going to say about me’. And the fucking Irish Sun did it and I will never forgive them, no matter how much money I get off them.
