Dublin band The Script have seen the cash at two firms controlled by its members increasing sevenfold to €2.2m.

The band — led by Danny O’Donoghue — are in the middle of a world tour and recently reached No 1 in Britain with their single, Hall of Fame taken from their new album, #3.

Accounts lodged by Madnotes Entertainment to Companies House in Britain, show cash rose from £84,266 (€104,333) to £988,735 in the 12 months to the end of Mar 2011. Accumulated profits rose more than sevenfold from £60,394 to £428,741.
