Celebs given a boost by pretty parents

It has been said that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree — and these celebrities and their parents are no exception.

Celebs given a boost by pretty parents

The phrase “peas in a pod” might be more appropriate for some of these stars and their age-defying parents.

Surely’s it’s Beyonce’s destiny to look good for the next few decades at least, thanks to the great genes from her mum.

Tina Knowles, 58, is a fashion designer in her own right after kick-starting her career by creating costumes for Beyonce and the rest of Destiny’s Child.

Fresh-faced pop star Justin Bieber was born to teen mom Pattie Mallette, who recently published her biography, Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber’s Mom.

She must be hoping he doesn’t follow in her footsteps, however, as the book reveals a troubled past featuring drug addiction, sexual abuse, and marijuana dealing.

Meanwhile, it’s not entirely clear who’s the wild child in this shot of Katy Perry and her parents. Katy’s the daughter of two conservative Christian pastors, Mary Perry Hudson and Keith Hudson and her first foray into the music industry was actually a gospel album she produced as a teen. Above, her dad looks more like the rocker than his daughter.

Now that Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have patched up their split, sociable parents John Stewart and Clare Pattinson might be spending some time together.

Husbands-to-be have traditionally been told: “If you want to know what your wife will look like when she is older, look at her mother.”

And this old saying looks to be based in fact. Experts have found the faces of mothers and daughters wrinkle and sag in exactly the same “pattern” as they age.

This premise might be hard to prove with these celebs, through. There probably isn’t much wrinkling and sagging in their future, but rather a shared botox expert and plastic surgeon, as well as enviable gene pool.
