Rugby player poised to make US debut

A young East Cork rugby player chasing a dream of being in the professional ranks is poised to make his debut for the United States international side.

Back row John Quill, who emigrated to the US, formerly played for Dolphin, Munster ‘A’ and Ireland under-18s.

The 22-year-old Youghal man is included in the USA Eagles squad for a three-game European test series which commences tonight against Russia in Colwyn Bay .
