CD aims to raise more than pennies for charity

Mezzo-contralto Amanda Neri and Cork city councillor Ken O’Flynn are among a large number of singers and musicians who have joined forces to raise funds for Cork Penny Dinners by recording a CD.

Entitled Heaven Can Wait after the Meatloaf song, it hits the shelves next month and features the single of A Penny For Your Thoughts, by the newly formed Cork Penny Dinners Choir.

Angie Benhaffaf and her two daughters Malika and Iman are among the singers in the 120-strong choir.
