Burton to turn Dublin dark for Stoker story

Some might say Dublin is a scary enough place in reality, without a famous Gothic movie director putting his dark stamp on the place.

However, Tim Burton, director of hits such as Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, and his latest, Frankenweenie, is hoping to bring his own version of dark to the city and has a uniquely Irish topic to explore.

In line with much of his work, the Burton vehicle will be a dark tale about one of Ireland’s finest — Bram Stoker, the creator of Dracula.
