Aberavon were defeated 19-11 by the Munster A team in the B&I Cup, in Tralee, earlier in the day.

The match went off without incident and the visitors were afterwards entertained at Tralee Rugby Club.

It is understood some of the visiting group, mainly men in their 20s, called to several licensed premises in Tralee during the evening where a number of boisterous incidents took place.

Gardaí went to the scene at one premises some time after 10pm and spoke to the members of the group who then returned to their hotel. No further incidents were reported and local rumours of arrests for public order offences were denied by gardaí, who yesterday said there were no arrests in the town on Saturday night.

The Aberavon group flew back to Wales on Sunday.
