Threat to ambulance service   unites ‘ordinary folk’

Farmer Liam Slattery celebrated his 34th birthday yesterday on a protest walk over a risk to ambulance services in West Cork.

He was joined by Anne O’Donoghue-Deasy, a mother from a fishing village whose son, husband, and father-in-law, all within the space of a year, had required ambulance assistance.
