Former TD O’Flynn summonsed over €1,000 debt to newspaper

Former Fianna Fáil TD Noel O’Flynn has been summonsed to appear before Cork District Court for non-payment of a €1,000 debt to a local community newspaper.

A judgment was made against the former Cork North Central TD last March for non-payment of just over €1,000 to Mick Young and John McGuinness of Glanmire Community News, the Community Centre, Riverstown, Co Cork.

Solicitor Micheal O’Dowd, representing the newspaper, yesterday made a request to Judge Tim Lucey that they be allowed manually post a summons for attendance of a debtor to Mr O’Flynn.
