False plates led to shooting suspect arrest

An Irishman arrested in Birmingham faces extradition to Ireland to face charges connected to the shooting of a teenager in Dublin six years ago.

Gardaí want to question the 22-year-old Irishman, who has not been named, in connection with the shooting of 16-year-old Nathan Daly in Swords in Feb 2007.

The man was arrested last Saturday in the Saltley area of Birmingham after reports of false plates on a Vauxhall Astra car.
