Inspectors discovered there were 197 unauthorised absences by three young people over a 12-month period at a children’s centre in the Mid-West.

A report by the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) indicated the concern of inspectors that some of the centre’s residents could have been at risk while absent.

The centre caters for the Limerick, Clare and North Tipperary areas.
