US presidential hopeful Mitt Romney has a fight on his hands if he wants to keep using Thin Lizzy’s music in his campaign.

The wife of Phil Lynott, the band’s legendary frontman, said there was no way the singer would have supported the Republican candidate. Caroline Lynott-Taraskevics, one of the controllers of his estate, has told the band’s record company to issue a cease and desist order preventing Romney from using Thin Lizzy hits.

“It is too late to stop it happening, but it will prevent a recurrence,” she said.
