No change to Croke Park deal: Varadkar

Transport Minister Leo Varadkar has said nothing can be changed under the Croke Park deal until it ends in 2014 and that talks on extending it need to start early next year.

Mr Varadkar admitted that talks on Croke Park II — a successor to the current deal with workers — would need to begin in the next six to eight months.

His comments came as the head of the Labour Relations Commission denied that there was a “war of words” between himself and Minister of State Lucinda Creighton over the deal.
