190,000 expected to attend ploughing

Blue skies dominated the sunny South-East yesterday as Wexford prepared to host the national ploughing championships later this month.

Heathpark, New Ross, will be the venue for this year’s three-day event which will cost over €3m to stage.

The championship is expected to attract up to 190,000 visitors and more than 1,000 exhibitors on Sept 25, 26, and 27.
