Court battle will not halt Notre Dame match

The Irish American Football Association is to take legal action to ensure a US navy team complies with conditions it agreed to in Mar 2011.

The sellout game between Navy and Notre Dame takes place on Saturday at the Aviva Stadium. In recent weeks, the build-up to the event has been marred by a dispute between the IAFA, the national governing body for American football here, and the Navy football team.

However, the legal proceedings will not prevent the game from going ahead.
