Alleged escapee found after manhunt

A Limerick man has appeared in court charged with escaping from lawful custody.

Christopher O’Donnell, of West Singland Rd, Garryowen, was arrested in the early hours of yesterday, almost a week after gardaí launched a manhunt in Limerick City.

Last Thursday, gardaí began searching for Mr O’Donnell after he allegedly fled from outside Limerick Prison.
