Over 200 children at risk after GP’s vaccination error

More than 200 children and teens have been unknowingly put at risk of serious illnesses like measles, meningitis and Hepatitis B after receiving inadequate vaccines.

The HSE has confirmed that 221 young patients who were treated by a single GP in Newcastle, west Dublin, since the late 1990s have been affected in the error.

According to a spokesperson, while the drugs used in these vaccinations were fine, there were unstated problems in how the jabs were administered.
