Road workers told to deliver septic tank charge letter

A county councillor has objected to the use of outdoor staff to deliver information to householders on the septic tank charges.

Danny Healy-Rae said he was appalled Kerry County Council management was “making postmen out of road workers” at a time when urgent road repairs had not been done.

“These men have plenty of work to be doing on the roads which are in a terrible state after all the bad weather,” he said.
