Video bursts bubbles for top of the pops

It won’t be music to the ears of some aficionados but a YouTube video which has gone viral explodes some myths about who really are the kingpins of the music industry.

For example, one might have thought the ever-enduring Beatles would hold most records. But think again.

The Fab Four’s mega hit Hey Jude sold 8m copies, but that’s still 2m less than the number sold by US rapper Flo Rida’s (aka Tramar Dillard) track Low.
