Mystery surrounds the death of a businessman who died six days after a row with youths outside his offices in Drogheda.

While Deepak Abi, a 53-year-old father, is suspected of having received a blow in the altercation, a post mortem yesterday afternoon was inconclusive.

Garda sources said if the architect had been hit or punched in the head there would typically be some evidence of blunt trauma. But State pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy, who conducted the post mortem, found no such evidence. She has ordered further tests, the results of which are expected to take a fortnight.
