Cork flooding victims to benefit from extension of €10m humanitarian fund

A multimillion-euro humanitarian assistance fund is to be made available to victims of the Cork flooding.

The money will be provided to alleviate the hardship of qualifying householders who have seen their home and its contents damaged.

The Government is expected to sign off on the funding today when Social Protection Minister Joan Burton brings a memo to Cabinet on the issue.
