File sent to DPP after seizure of €120,000 cannabis herb

Gardaí are preparing a file for the DPP after releasing a man following the seizure in Cork of cannabis weed with an estimated street value of €120,000.

The man, who is in his 40s, and with an address in the Banteer area of Co Cork, was arrested in the Pouladuff area of the city on Wednesday afternoon as part of a garda investigation into the sale and distribution of illegal drugs in North and West Cork.

Gardaí from Togher, working with the Cork West Drug Unit, stopped and searched a car on the Pouladuff Road around 4pm.
