Social Protection Minister Joan Burton said she would be open, in next December’s budget, to further cuts in the cost of running ministerial offices.

Fianna Fáil has criticised the pay bill for ministerial advisers which amounts to €2.77m according to figures released through parliamentary questions.

The bill excludes the salaries of advisers to the Taoiseach and the Tánaiste which would bring the total figure to more than €3.3m.
