Gardaí in Co Clare are appealing to members of the public to assist them in identifying the body of a man who was recovered from the sea over a fortnight ago.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out here and internationally through Interpol, but there has been no positive identification of the deceased to date.

The body was recovered from the sea at the Cliffs of Moher on Tuesday, May 22. The alarm was raised at around 2.15pm when the body was spotted from the top of the cliffs in the sea more than 600 feet below.
