Widower talked to accused hours before killing

John McAreavey came face to face with the man accused of murdering his wife in the hours before she was found dead, he told a court in Mauritius.

He was only feet from defendant Avinash Treebhoowon at the Supreme Court yesterday as he recalled talking with the cleaner outside his room at the Legends Hotel while his wife was changing inside.

State prosecutor Mehdi Manrakhan asked Mr McAreavey if he could identify the employee again.
