Ryanair announces new Cork-East Midlands route

Ryanair has announced a new route between Cork and East Midlands which will commence operations on Sept 1.

The year-round service will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Welcoming the service, Kevin Cullinane, marketing manager at Cork Airport said: “We are delighted with the new Ryanair service from Cork to East Midlands increasing the airline’s route network out of Cork to 19 destinations.

“It’s fantastic news for business and leisure travellers both here and in Britain, highlighting Cork as an exciting new destination for the travelling public.”

Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said that to celebrate the new route, it was launching 1m seats from €15.99 for travel across Europe in July, which were available for booking from midnight last night (May 31) until midnight on Jun 4.
