Two men were charged at a special court sitting yesterday with possession of an estimated €1.5m worth of cannabis for sale or supply.

The men were arrested at a house in Annagh, Lisnagry, Co Limerick, on Friday, following a garda surveillance operation, Limerick District Court was told.

Unemployed carpenter Shane Ferguson, aged 44, of Meadowbrook, Mill Road, Corbally, was charged with one count of possession and one count of possession for sale or supply on May 25.
