1,000 jobs available at expo
By yesterday afternoon, more than 5,000 people had registered to attend the free event at the RDS Serpentine Hall, which runs today and tomorrow.
Among the employers which will be talking to prospective employees will be Canadian construction company JV Driver which has 200 openings.
Canadian recruitment firm Diamond Global has 120 jobs on offer. There are also locally based opportunities, such as 200 openings at Irish HomeCare Services.
The arena has been divided into different areas including an information area, an area giving tips on starting your own business and another offering advice on working abroad.
There will be a postgraduate area where UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and the school of business at Trinity College Dublin will both be exhibiting.
In an engineering village, graduates and experienced skilled engineers will have a chance to meet and apply for various positions. A professional village will house a wide variety of careers in industries such as accounting, finance and insurance. Employers will also be seeking trained applicants for their sector.
