The no campaign have claimed up to €10bn can be raised through higher income taxes and a wealth charge instead of relying on further European bailout funds.

People Before Profit outlined the figures during their campaign launch yesterday as members called on the public to reject the EU fiscal treaty referendum.

Party leader Richard Boyd Barrett also took a swipe at wealthy individuals, including Ryanair’s Michael O’Leary, arguing they did not pay their fair share of taxes.
