‘Once’ in running for 12 theatre awards

The Broadway musical version of the love story Once, about a Dublin busker and Czech pianist, has gained the highest number of nominations for the 2012 Tony Awards.

It received 11 nominations, including best musical.

The show, adapted from the hit 2006 indie film and featuring the Oscar-winning song ‘Falling Slowly’, also gained nominations for its main stars, Steve Kazee and Cristin Milioti.
