Despite initial fears that he had suffered a heart attack, former Kilkenny hurling star DJ Carey was released from hospital yesterday.

The 41-year-old collapsed with chest pains in the public waiting room of a Garda station on Tuesday.

He was immediately rushed to the local St Luke’s hospital amid fears he had had a heart attack.
