€10m for public servants’ car parking

More than €10m is to be spent on renting car parking spaces for public servants who get their parking for free.

Data provided to the Public Accounts Committee by the Office of Public Works shows the State owns about 9,500 car parking spaces.

However, as there are not enough spaces, a further 2,967 are being rented in Dublin at a cost of €2,428 each.
