Abby in recovery after dog attack

A Galway toddler required 60 stitches after she was brutally attacked by a Siberian husky at the weekend.

Abby O’Donoghue, who will be four in a few weeks, is expected to make a full recovery after undergoing surgery in a Galway hospital for injuries suffered.

The vicious attack happened at a relative’s birthday party on Saturday at Ballynacally, about 16km outside Ennis in Co Clare.

Abby’s cousin was taking the child out to the garage to get some crisps when the Siberian husky pounced without warning and grabbed hold of the child.
