Groups join forces to press for rates reform

The Cork Business Association is joining forces with other business groups to press the Government into reforming the commercial rates system.

A rate relief scheme for new businesses or viable businesses who are struggling because of the recession will be a key part of the campaign.

The CBA said it will work with other business and retail bodies, as well as with vintner and hotelier groups, to combine reform proposals and present a united front.
