Operation Fiacla to bite down on marauding gangs
He revealed that Operation Fiacla (teeth) was a nationwide drive to cut down on the rise in such crimes, which he admitted were causing gardaí concern.
The commissioner revealed that although still in its infancy, the operation had already yielded results as last Monday morning gardaí had arrested two individuals in the Co Longford area who were believed to have been responsible for more than 30 burglaries.
