TV chat show legend Parkinson to headline West Cork Literary Festival

The grandmaster of the TV chat show, Michael Parkinson, is to headline the West Cork Literary Festival this summer.

In a major coup for the festival’s organisers, the legendary golden-tongued broadcaster, who has interviewed everyone from Muhammad Ali to Billy Connolly, will discuss his remarkable career as part of a live on-stage public interview with Miriam O’Callaghan.

“It’s a great coup to get Michael Parkinson,” said festival spokesman Ivor Melia.
