FG denies Mitchell was asked not to attend

Fine Gael has denied excluding party TD Olivia Mitchell from its ard fheis following criticism in the Mahon Tribunal of “inappropriate” payments she received.

The South Dublin TD was not present behind Taoiseach Enda Kenny during his speech.

Mr Kenny told the packed auditorium that the “shameful” practices exposed by the tribunal should never be allowed to happen again.
