Party admits 2011 was an ‘expensive year’

Fine Gael said 2011 was an “expensive year” for the party with a general election and presidential campaign to fight.

A borrowing facility of €3m was put in place for the general election, but just €1.5m of that was drawn down.

The party said the accounts for last year are not yet ready but has published the accounts for 2010.
