Coveney vows to ‘crack whip’ to deliver Yes vote

Simon Coveney has told Fine Gael members he will “crack the whip” in order to deliver a “comprehensive Yes vote” in the fiscal treaty referendum.

The Agriculture Minister said he wanted a wide winning margin rather than the Government “limping over the line”.

Mr Coveney was announced as the party’s national director for the referendum campaign over the weekend.
