Doctor faces trial on charges of sexually assaulting women

A doctor has been returned for trial after he was charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of indecent assault on three separate women.

Dr Kevin Mulcahy, aged 54, with an address at Creggane, Lombardstown, Mallow, Co Cork, was brought before Judge Olann Kelleher at Mallow District Court yesterday, where evidence of arrest, charge, and caution was heard.

Detective Garda Colman Murphy said he arrested Dr Mulcahy at 9.07am yesterday and brought him to Mallow Garda Station, where he was formally charged.
